VortexIR™ Ceramic Film Series
NATURE MEETS NANOTECHNOLOGY FOR ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE
This isn’t your first vehicle and you already know high-performance window film dramatically improves how you feel and look in your car or truck. So do we. That’s why Film at Eleven use the combined power of timeless raw materials and nanotechnology in the new VortexIR™ Ceramic Film Series. Ceramic nanoparticles create a deeper black that won’t make your windows look like mirrors. But more than that, VortexIR premium technology absorbs energy from the sun instead of reflecting light and radio waves like other films on the market. For you, that means a cooler interior, more bars on your cell phone and a look that will last a lifetime.

What film is…
Window Film is a transparent plastic laminate that is applied to the surface of commercial, residential, or automotive glass to provide heat and light rejection. Window film is also produced in varying shades and colors to accommodate different architectural designs and color schemes. The following passage was taken directly from the International Window Film Association’s web page:
“There are many types and constructions of solar control and safety window films. These films are considered in the building industry to be “retrofit” products; that is, products to be applied to existing buildings as opposed to use in new construction. In their simplest forms, window films are composed of a polyester substrate to which a scratch resistant coating is applied on one side; a mounting adhesive layer and a protective release liner is applied to the other side. When the release liner is removed, that side of the film with the adhesive is applied to the interior surface of the glass.”

How It’s Classified…
There are many factors to consider when choosing the correct film for you. The following basic factors determine the type of film your application requires:
Visible Light Transmission (VLT)
The percent of total visible light that is transmitted through the window film/glass system. The LOWER the number, the LESS visible light transmitted.
Visible Light Reflectance (VLR)
The percent of total visible light that is reflected outwards by the window film/glass system. The LOWER the number, the LESS visible light reflected.
The percent of ultraviolet (UV) that is blocked by the window film/glass system. The HIGHER the number, the LESS UV transmitted. At Film At Eleven, Inc. ALL of our window films reject 99% of UV rays.
Total Solar Energy Rejected
The percent of total solar energy (heat) rejected by the window film/glass system. The HIGHER the number, the MORE total solar energy rejected.
Many customers are interested in using colored films to enhance the look of their custom car or truck. However, these films are considered illegal in Kansas and we do not apply these films to entire windows. We do however have the ability to cut and apply patterns, logos, and text within a fully tinted window. For more information on our ComputerCut film cutting system, click here.
Reflective films are restricted to residential and commercial use only. Our policy is the same regarding reflective films as with colored films. Customers who are interested in having custom graphics applied to their windows using reflective or colored films, please click here.
At Film At Eleven, Inc. we proudly adhere to Kansas law as it applies to the application of automotive window films. As it stands, the current legal limit for % Light Transmission is 35%. Our Supreme 40 and Galaxie 35 window films are the darkest films we carry allowed by Kansas law. For most of our customers with vehicles registered out-of-state, we will honor either Kansas law or the laws from the state in which the vehicle is registered. For more legal information pertaining to window films, please visit the International Window Films Association website here.
